Crew’s Restaurant & Accommodation is a family owned business since it originated. Our parents George & Phil Horsom have owned this 16th century building with the past 30 years. They have restored it from the point of dereliction to the beautiful stone building you see today. The building is steeped in heritage from it’s long past housing everything from a work house, to a grain store and most recently the Dicken’s Leather Factory to name but a few. They have honoured the buildings history through out it’s restoration and many of the original features are preserved and visible today in Crew’s Restaurant and Accommodation.
Among their children that now run the business they have Roisin who following gaining her initial qualification as a professional chef, has most recently gained her degree in culinary arts in Waterford Institute of Technology. Roisin as a very young chef represented the college and Ireland at competition level in Slovenia gaining a gold medal and much acclaim. After working for many years and gaining experience and influence from many great chefs Roisin’s home grown talent has spent the last ten years in Crew’s with her team focusing on excellent food at excellent value. The coastal location of Crew’s makes gathering fresh local produce a delight. Our meats and fish being delivered fresh on a continuous basis. We even have our own lamb and some of our fresh vegetables from our farm that take centre stage when the season is right. The most recent renovations have brought about Apartment Accommodation that allows our guests to experience all Crew’s and Dungarvan have to offer! We now cater for business and pleasure.
